M&C Doggos & Cattos—Maxwell

by | Nov 30, 2023

This is Maxwell. My black lab mix and work from home supervisor. He’s the spoiled child of two millennials, and has the run of the household.

Maxwell – Owned by Colin Bennett

Loves: Bananas, carrots, peanut butter, belly scratches, playing ball at the park, anything swimming related, and people.

Dislikes: Boredom, the heat (he’s a winter pup), car doors closing in the neighborhood after 10:00 PM, days when we don’t go to the park to play ball.

Maxwell: Max is an Olympic athlete in his other life. I’m convinced that he could play Airbud if he was given the chance. Routinely the most important thing we could ever do is go to the park to play ball. Running after the ball. Jumping 10 feet in the air to catch the ball. This boy is an ATHLETE. He loves the lake at the end of the Shawnee Mission Dog Park, and usually superman leaps into any water he finds available. After 8:00 PM he hits bedtime and all he wants to do is cuddle on the couch. He is the most spoiled thing in our house!

Adoption Story: Maxwell was adopted shortly after my wedding in 2019. My wife and I went to Unleashed Pet Rescue just to ‘look around’ and ended up coming home with his 65-lb self. We didn’t really know what we were getting into. Many nights, a full course of puppy training lessons, and he’s right at home with us. He’s our project supervisor, eldest child, household patriarch, roomba, and lettuce/carrot scraps garbage disposal all in one. He’s our best boy!

Five R’s for Limbo Week—Dec 26 Through Jan 2

The week between Christmas and the New Year always seems to go one of two ways...and go hard. It's either a time warp where you forget you're employed, time doesn't exist and the re-entry to your regular, human life is brutal. Or, you have a ton of things to do and...
